Helen J. Zutoft, nee Kardas, age 91. Earthly flight plan closed with eternall peace of communion with THE Beatific Vision March 14, 2017 following earthly purgatory of emotional suffering / physical pain. Beloved wife of the late Norbert; loving mother of lifelong caretaker and fierce advocate Robert (fiancé Cynthia), James, and the late Charles; dear grandmother of Jamie (Daniel) Kalk and Chuck; longing for great-grandmother of Noah and Nate; preceded in death by 7 LOYAL loved siblings; also many nieces and nephews. Member of Southwest Suburban W.O.W.’s (Widows or Widowers) and Swinging Sugar Square Dance Club. Visitation Sunday 2 to 8 p.m.  at Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5725 S. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, Il 773-767-4730.  Funeral /prayers  Monday from Funeral Home at 9 AM  to St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 10621 S. Kedvale, Oak Lawn, for  10:00 a.m. funeral mass. Flowers ARE definitely appreciated. Please ALL ARE encouraged to attend Interment at St. Casimir Cemetery chapel. Memorial Service and funeral luncheon to be held at a later date. Mom waited for us to return to be at her bed side. Mom had something to softly whisper to her 2 Sons. Wth my dear loved loyal Cynthia, I literally held my Mother's hand and talked to her during Mom's dying process and at Mom's instant of death. Kissed Mom on cheek on her immortal soul entrance to heaven. My mother, a FORGIVING mother, was a devoted Catholic in weekly Mass and daily prayer seen at kitchen table, she publicly greeted people with "God be with you".
